

Robert 'Bobby' W. Mann, 57 of Mansfield, died unexpectedly Tuesday morning January 25, 2005 at Mansfield MedCentral Hospital. Born February 21, 1947 in Mansfield, he was the son of Velmer and Margaret Offerle Mann. Mr. Mann served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a 1965 graduate of Ontario High School, a member of the Disabled American Veterans and the VFW. Mr. Mann was a poker player and enjoyed horse races and going to casinos. He was also an avid golfer.
Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Dianne Gore Mann of Mansfield; three sons and daughter-in-law, James Mann, Brian Mann and fiancé, Heather Thrush all of Mansfield, and Scott and Stacey Whitley of Jackson Lake, Texas; one grandson, Forrest Whitley of Texas; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Henry and Marge Mann of Mansfield, and Jack and Kathy Mann of Mt. Gilead; three sisters, Kaye, Barbara and Becky; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. He was preceded in death by his parents; special grandmother, Bessie Krichbaum; and mother and father-in-law, Ralph and Mildred Ellis Gore.
Friends may call one hour prior to a 2 p.m. memorial service Friday January 28, 2005 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors with Pastor David Davenport officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Kidney Foundation or the American Diabetes Association.
