The eldest of four children, Bob was born on April 4, 1937 in Mansfield, Ohio and was the son of William and Lucy (Mackey) Neutzling. Bob was a 1955 graduate of Madison High School. He married his high school sweetheart, Carol Daugherty, and they shared 59 years of marriage together. His career began as an apprentice to become a pipe-fitter with Local 42 Plumbers and Pipe Fitters. He was employed with Charles Hoffman Company, Mike Volk Company, and Standard Plumbing and Heating Company. Hard work was something Bob understood. He worked his job and farmed on the side, caring for his beef cattle, corn and hay.
A sports enthusiast, Bob enjoyed cheering for the Guardians, Cavaliers and NASCAR. He was a faithful spectator at his grandchildren’s games as well.
Bob is survived by his children, Carl (Mary) Neutzling, Connie (Mark) Cates, Brenda (Chris) Mack; his grandchildren, Drew (Kelsey) Neutzling, Amy (Andrew) Stofer, Brett (Melanie) Neutzling, Allison (Jake) Dauzat, Cameron Mack, and Cyle Mack; his great-grandchildren, Leena Neutzling, Deaken Neutzling, Grant Stofer, Wells Stofer, Ruth Stofer, Marshall Dauzat and one on the way; and his siblings, Barbara (Lowell) Kline, Bill Neutzling, and Joanne (Jim) Hintz.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Carol Neutzling.
Family and friends may visit from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at Wappner Funeral Directors-Mansfield, 98 S. Diamond Street. Funeral will follow at 11:00 am with Pastor Dennis Nezrick officiating. Bob will be laid to rest in Windsor Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio, 2131 Park Avenue West, Ontario, OH 44906.
