
Robert E. Shultz, 66, of Mansfield passed away unexpectedly Sunday morning at Med Central Mansfield. Mr. Shultz was born March 21, 1936 in Mansfield to John W. & Lelah E. Butler Shultz. Robert retired from PPG after 33 years of service, he had also owned and operated Village Lanes and worked at Discount Mail & Printing. He was active as an Eagle Scout, was a member of Moose Lodge #341, Mansfield Bowling Association, Richland County React and Toy Time Program. He also enjoyed bowling, cards and trying to beat the lottery. Mr. Shultz also served in the United States Army.
He is survived by his wife, Ellen Woodruff Shultz of Mansfield; two sons and daughters-in-law, Rick & Diana Shultz of Loudonville and Robert S. & Yvette Shultz of Mt. Vernon; six grandchildren, Billy, Rachel, Kimberly, Brad, Jaimie and Sara; two great grandchildren, Gage & Billy Bob; one sister and brother-in-law, Shirley & Don Sheldon of Brewton, Alabama; and his beloved dog 'Bear'. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one great grandson, Jeremy.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors on Tuesday July 16, 2002 from 6-9 P.M. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home conducted by Pastor Rich Rader. Burial will be held in Mansfield Cemetery with military honors.
Family request that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family.
