Robert Trammell, 85, of Mansfield, died Tuesday, December 13, 2005. Born August 21, 1920 in McCreary County, Kentucky, he was the son of Mitchell and Bertha Chitwood Trammell. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Mr. Trammell was a member of the Main St. Methodist Church, the VFW Post #9943, and the American Legion Post #16.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Trammell of Mansfield; one daughter, Shirley Brady of Mansfield; sister, Mildred Starkey of California; 17 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; and three stepsons, William K. Stiteler, Robert D. Stiteler, and Chriss E. Stiteler, all of Mansfield. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Helen Morgenstern; son Jack Trammell; and one grandson.
Wappner Funeral Directors assisted the family with arrangements.
