Robin was a social, compassionate, kind, and caring person who truly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She especially cherished her granddaughters, who brought her immense joy. Robin was always willing to step up and do whatever life called for, meeting every challenge with strength and grace. She also had a special love for her beloved dogs, George and Tate, who were treasured members of her family.
She is survived by her husband, John Helbig; her parents; children, Jarrod (Dana) Downs, John Helbig, Melissa Helbig, and Johnna Tolley; grandchildren, Libby, Lauren, Cody and Laina; siblings, Troy Shaw and Lisa Shaw; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her beloved Rottweiler, Adolf.
A gathering will be held on Wednesday July 22, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM and a sharing of memories from 3:30 PM – 4:00 PM at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services by Wappner, 1327 Ashland Road, Mansfield, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
