

Roger E. Kline, 78, of Butler passed away at OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital on Tuesday, October 17, 2017. He was born September 9, 1939 in Loudonville, Ohio. He was the son of Lawrence Kline and Sylvia (Sells) Nave.
Roger was a very good husband, father and grandpa and cherished time spent with his family. He attended Loudonville and Butler High Schools. Roger worked at General Industries for eleven years and then to Mansfield Plumbing Products where he retired from after twenty nine years. He was a workaholic and always had to be working. He enjoyed working in his garage, mowing his yard, building things, and loved his horses and dogs. Most recently, he found great relaxation in taking rides in the car.
Roger leaves behind to cherish many fond memories that they shared together, his loving wife of 58 years, Janice (Steele) Kline; four children, Eugene Kline, Teresa Roberts (Eric Holmes), Kathy (John) Eggerton, and Joshua Kline; six grandchildren, Preston (Abby), Lance, Brittany (A.J), Elizabeth, Isaac, and Kaleb (Nicole); five great-grandchildren, Colton, Braylee, Maci, Charlie and Addison; sisters, Barbara Reed, Laverna Kerestes, and Mildred Nave; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Larry, Nelson and Paul Kline; a sister, Bev Carr; step-mother, Lavera Kline; and step-father, George Nave.
A celebration of life service will be held at 3pm on Sunday, October 22, 2017 at the Butler-Clearfork Adult Center, 20 W. Henry Street Butler, OH 44822. Memorial contributions may be made in care of the funeral home to the family. The Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is honored to serve the family of Roger Kline.
