Roger Phillips

Roger L. Phillips, 57, of Shiloh, Ohio died early Monday morning, May 13, 2002 at MedCentral Shelby Hospital after an extended illness. Mr. Phillips was born February 12, 1945 in Mansfield to Virgil and Goldie Perry Phillips. He was a life long resident of the area and retired from Conrail where he was a machine operator.

He is survived by his wife, Darlene Youngen Phillips; four sons and their spouses, Roger Phillips, Jr. of Columbus Don and Jennifer Phillips of Crestline, Ohio, Ben and Jodi Phillips of Mansfield, and Brian and Christin Phillips of Shiloh, Ohio; two grandchildren, Chevele and Skyla; mother, Goldie Phillips of Mansfield; two brothers, Arthur and Kenneth Phillips, both of Mansfield; and two sisters, June Cole and Naomi Parsons, both of Mansfield. He was preceded in death by his father, Virgil Phillips and an infant sister.

Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Wednesday, May 15 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be at the funeral home Thursday at 10:30 a.m. conducted by Rev. Glenn Phillips. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
