Ron McKelvey

Ron McKelvey, 53, of Mansfield died Friday morning, August 30, 2002 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital following an extended illness. He was born September 7, 1948 and was an area resident for the last 10 years. Ron valued his job as a maintenance assistant and appreciated the responsibilities entrusted to him by the Mansfield Public Library. Ron enthusiastically attended AA and Crossroads Community Church. His greatest enjoyment in life was spending time with his wife. Together, they loved and shared camping and just 'being' in nature.

In addition to his loving wife, who always believed in him, Valerie Todd McKelvey, he is survived by a son, Ron McKelvey of New Jersey; two daughters, Michele and April; two stepsons, Chris and Joey Todd, both of Mansfield; a brother, Rick McKelvey of Columbus; stepfather, Hiram McCurry; and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Becky and Donnie Hadaway of Sparta, Ohio and Deb and Mike Phillips of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth McCurry and a brother, Ralph McKelvey.

Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, Tuesday, September 3 from 6-9 p.m. An additional hour of calling will be observed one hour prior to funeral services held at Crossroads Community Church, Wednesday beginning at 11:00 a.m., conducted by Rev. Jason Allison. Memorial contributions may be made in care of the family.
