
Ronald Joe Arnett, 52, of Mansfield, died Sunday, October 8, 2006 at his home after an extended illness. Born August 27, 1954 in Columbus, he was the son of Boone and Helen J. Church Arnett. He retired from General Motors where he was a union representative. He was a member of Diamond Hills Baptist Church. Mr. Arnett was also a member of UAW 549. He enjoyed spending quality time with his family and fishing. He also enjoyed playing basketball and has a host of dear friends from Lexington Basketball.
He is survived by four daughters and sons-in-law, Melanie and Mark Ferguson, Alicia and Andy Ward, all of Lexington, Alexis and Justin Maffett, and Stephanie Garrison, all of Mansfield; one son, Ronnie Garrison of Mansfield; five grandchildren, Jonathan and Olivia Ferguson, Carly and Riley France, and Jaylin Maffett; one brother and sister-in-law, Daniel and Cheryl Arnett of Lexington; two sisters and brother-in-law, Patricia and Michael Ringold of Texas, and Pam Roussey of Ontario; father, Boone Arnett of Mansfield; good friends, Tim Davis, Terry Mong, and the Pigman boys; and very special friend, Gary Breedlove. He was preceded in death by his mother.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 11, 2006 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors conducted by Rev. Christopher Thomas. Friends may call from 12 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to a hospice program of the donor's choice.
