
Ronald D. Burchfield, 56, of Mansfield, died Friday, February 10, 2006 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital after a three-year battle with multiple myeloma. Ron was born January 15, 1950 in Mansfield to Charles and Opal Webb Burchfield. Ron served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He retired from the Mansfield Police Department and worked as Director of Security at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. He was a member of Crossroads Community Church, the VFW, and ASIS. Ron loved to fish.
He is survived by his wife, Jennie Kelser Burchfield; one son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Amy Burchfield of Alexandria, Virginia; three daughters and son-in-law, Sheree and Brad Cicolani of Lexington, Tiffany Conard and Ashley Conard, both of Mansfield; grandson, Garrett Cicolani; brother, Roger Burchfield of Mansfield; father, Charles and Judy Burchfield; and mother, Opal Webb Burchfield. He was preceded in death by one brother, Jack Burchfield.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, February 12, 2006 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Monday conducted by Rev. Tim Storms. Military graveside services conducted by the Richland County Joint Veterans Burial Detail will follow in Little Washington Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hope Lodge in Cleveland, Ohio or Cancer Care at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital.
