
Ronald William Smith, 69, of Mansfield, passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at his residence. Born August 18, 1949 in Connellsville, Pennsylvania, he was the son of William and Margaret (Shipley) Smith.
Ronald was a proud veteran of the United States Navy and worked for 23 years for R&L Carriers as a truck driver. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and NASCAR fan with Mark Martin having been his favorite driver. Ronald was a dedicated family man and loved being a dad to his three boys. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Surviving are his wife of almost 33 years, Deb (Yankovich) Smith; three sons, James Smith, Matthew (Christel) Smith and James Allen Smith; grandchildren, Estella and Leland Smith; sister, Kathy (Randy) Keniston; nephew and nieces, Andy (Amanda) Jenison and Jessica and Jennifer Dull; brother-in-law, Tom (Donna) Yankovich; sister-in-law, Judy (Tim) Dull; and mother-in-law, Mary Yankovich.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a nephew, Anthony Dull and his father-in-law, Robert Yankovich.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to OhioHealth Hospice.
