Rose Rudrick

Born October 5, 1916, in Mansfield, she was the daughter of Jason and Hattie (Hoffman) Ward. A homemaker, she enjoyed crafts, crocheting, gardening, playing board games and playing cards, especially Euchre.

She is survived by a son, Donald (Shirley) Rudrick of Mansfield; a daughter, Phyllis (Donald) Backensto of Lexington; six grandchildren, Cathy (Dale) Andorf, Daniel (Rebecca Davis) Rudrick, Alan Rudrick, Connie (Rod) Stirp, David (Kim) Freed and Gail Herron; 11 great grandchildren, Nicole, Anthony and Natalie Stirp, Joshua Andorf, Andrea Rudrick, Stephanie Burchett, Jamie and Audrey Hunt, Ashley and Grant Herron and David Freed; and five great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Nick Rudrick; a granddaughter, Brenda Wheeler; a brother, David Ward; and two sisters, Florence Cicolani and Ruth Peyton.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road, Ontario. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. Friends may call one hour prior to the service, from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.
