Rosemary J. Cox, 78, of Mansfield, died Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. Born April 1, 1936 in Mansfield, she was the daughter of Herbert V. and Mary (Berry) Altaffer.
Rosemary was a 1954 graduate of Mansfield Senior High School and retired from Therm-O-Disc in 1998 after 42 years. She was a member of First English Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her brothers, James (Sandra) Altaffer of Mansfield and William Altaffer of Florida; sister, Kathleen (Edward) Mawhorr of Franklinville, NC; special niece and nephew, Marla (Shannon) Stamper and Edward Mawhorr, Jr.; special great nephew and niece, Hunter and Hailey Stamper; and special friends, Pam Kane and Cheryl Richey.
She was preceded in death by her parents; fist husband, Donald Brooker; third husband, William "Bill" Cox; sister, Betty (Len) Sorensen, and sister-in-law, Diane Altaffer.
There will be no services held at this time. The Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is privileged to serve the family of Rosemary J. Cox.
