Rosine Guerin, 93, of Mansfield, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 23, 2020. She was born in Mansfield to Paul W. and Myrtle (Baker) Dickson on November 19, 1927.
Rosine was the youngest of two sisters and one brother, Helena, Mary and Harold. She played multiple musical instruments at home and in a quartet. While playing in the high school band, she met her life-long friend and later sister-in-law, Louise. They were skilled roller skaters, often going to North Lake Park. Rosine met a handsome young man named Robert "Bob" Guerin, who soon became the love of her life. They were married on December 22, 1949, and were inseparable dancing and traveling partners for 68 years.
She worked at Therm-O-Disc off and on between being a homemaker and mother to two daughters, saving money towards their family vacations. Later in life they wintered in Florida, making many new friends. There she enjoyed attending the Cleveland Indians' spring training.
Rosine was best known for the hundreds of birthday and anniversary cards she sent. Her niece, Shareen, recently said "I remember feeling so special to have received my very own piece of mail. My brothers did too. It created a happy time in our lives. She is a lovely lady-always in my heart." That says what so many others have felt; "I am loved and my life is important to someone!"
Thank you to the Care Companions staff and Kaitlin for such caring assistance in her home. We appreciate all her friends and family, who visited, sent cards, or prayed for Rosine. And a special thank you to her niece, Diane for her visits (and birthday cakes!). Also, thank you to her awesome neighbor, Pat, who has been there for all of us.
She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Seitz, Kim (Milo) Breitinger; two grandchildren, Cara Breitinger, Brian (Amy) Breitinger; two great-grandchildren, Ayden and Olivia Breitinger; and many loving nieces and nephews. Rosine was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Bob, and her loving son-in-law, Dane. So many other loved ones sadly have passed, but are now celebrating with her in heaven!
No public services are scheduled at this time. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that in honor of Rosine, please mail a card of happiness and hope to someone you love. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, 1592 Grace St., Mansfield, OH 44905. The Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is honored to have served the family.
