
Roy S. Gallagher, 61, of Mansfield died Friday, January 18, 2002 at the Cleveland Clinic after a brief illness. Mr. Gallagher was born August 13, 1940 in Spangler, Pennsylvania to Leon and Helen Reed Gallagher. He retired from General Motors after 38 years. Roy was a member of the NRA and liked to hunt, fish, camp and enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Poland Gallagher of Mansfield; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Roy L. & Sharon Gallagher of Crestline and Brett Gallagher of Mansfield; two grandchildren, Jared and LeAnn Gallagher; two sisters, Kathy Kratochvila of Mansfield and Patty Wilson of Pittsburgh, Penn.; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Mark Gallagher and Mike & Amy Gallagher all of N. Carolina; mother, Helen Gallagher of Mansfield; special nephew, Johnny Kratochvila of N. Carolina; mother-in-law, Florence Poland of Flushing, Ohio; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and in-laws. His father, Leon Gallagher preceded him in death.
Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, Tuesday, January 22 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be at the funeral home Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. conducted by Pastor Roger D. Reed. Burial will follow in Crawford County Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
