Roy Peterson Sr.

Roy M. Peterson Sr., 76, died peacefully early Monday morning, July 16, 2001, at the home of his daughter Debra. He was born March 25, 1925, in Derwent, Ohio, to William H. and Nancy Abrams Peterson. Mr. Peterson was employed with White Westinghouse Inc until his retirement in 1984. He was a member of the Caesarea Church and loved to travel and visit his family throughout the United States.

He is survived by three sons and two daughters and their spouses, Thomas A. and Kathleen Peterson of Spring Hill, Florida, Debra K. and Gregory Smith of Mansfield, Becky P. and Pierre Goasdoue' of Bellville, Ohio, Rodney D. Peterson of Marysville, Ohio, and Roy M. Jr. and Dawn Peterson of Bellville; ten grandchildren; one step-grandchild; one great-grandchild; five brothers, H. William Peterson, Clarence Wisenbarger, Charles Wisenbarger, James H. Peterson Sr. all of Mansfield; and John A. Peterson Sr. of Spring Hill, Florida; three sisters, Goldie Steele of Joshua Tree, California, Mary Jane Wymer of Lake Havasu, Arizona, and Thelma Ousley of Mansfield. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Nancy Peterson and his wife, Mary Lou Callihan Peterson.

Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Wednesday, July 18 from 5-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Caesarea Church Thursday at 11 a.m. conducted by Rev. Albert A. Page. Burial will follow in Caesarea Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Caesarea Cemetery Association.
