Woody moved to the Mansfield area in the early 50's and retired from the City of Mansfield Street Department following 21 years of service. He was an all around great guy who was very outgoing and had a great sense of humor, always joking with everyone. He was also very generous and helpful to anyone who was in need and was always concerned about his family. Woody was a member of the Mansfield Eagles, Mansfield Owls and Mansfield Moose and in his younger days, enjoyed playing pool, darts, karaoke and gambling. He loved being around his family especially his grandchildren and will be missed by all.
He is survived by a daughter, Julie Mays of Mansfield; two grandchildren, Tessa Mays (Ronald Dale) and Kylee Mays; two great grandchildren, Karson and Rylee Dale with two additional great grandchildren on the way; four brothers, Danny (Maggie) Bradshaw of Lucas, Chalmer (Sue) Bradshaw, Raymond "Mick" Bradshaw and Terry Bradshaw all of Mansfield; two sisters, Mary (Donald) Ogle of Ontario and Ruth Turner of Speedway, Indiana; a sister-in-law, Rosalee Bradshaw of Mansfield; a host of nieces, nephews and other dear relatives; and many, many friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Bradshaw; a sister, Phyllis (Raymond) Hamilton; and six nephews.
Per Woody's wishes, there will be no formal funeral but an informal Gathering for his family and friends will take place at the Mansfield Eagles Club, 129 North Main Street, Mansfield to celebrate his life on Saturday, October 27, 2018 beginning at 2:00 p.m.
