

Russell M. Campbell, Jr., age 86, of Mansfield died Thursday, June 3, 2004 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. He was born October 16, 1917 in Jody, West Virginia. He was a veteran of WWII and served in the U.S. Army Signal Corps in France and Germany. Russell attended Main Street Methodist Church and his hobbies included fishing, woodworking and reading. He retired from General Motors as a Millwright in 1982.
He is survived by his wife of sixty-two years, Imogene Baker Campbell; two sons Larry Beth Campbell and Daniel Cheryl Campbell; daughter Janet Ronald Hoover; grandchildren, Suzanne Danny Murphy, John Campbell, Carrie Campbell and Jennifer Jeremy Young; and great grandchildren Sean, Connor and Bria; nephews, Joseph and Jerry Kirker, and David and Andrew Keenan. He is preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Laura Hill Campbell, Sr.; sister, Louise Campbell Kirker Keenan; and grandchildren, Gregory and Deborah Campbell.
Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Sunday, June 6 from 6-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 7 at the funeral home, conducted by Rev. David A. Gilbert. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
