Ruth Hadley

Ruth H. Hadley, 75, of Mansfield, died Wednesday, April 22, 2009, at MedCentral Mansfield. Born August 17, 1933, in Gilboa, WV, she was the daughter of Patrick Brady and Vesta Ann Hughes Williams. She had worked at Mansfield Memorial Homes and for Jones Chips. Ruth was known as the "Balloon Lady" at the Conard House as she would supply residents with balloons on their birthday.

Surviving are three sons, Larry Lisa Hadley of Virginia Beach, VA, Steve Hadley of Mansfield and Herbert Hadley, Jr. of Charleston, SC; grandchildren, Zachary Hadley, Victoria Michelle Hadley, Larry Hadley, Jr., Kechelle Hadley, Jessica Hadley, Steve Hadley, Jr. and Lawanda Hadley; three brothers, Jim Bonnie Williams of Newport News, VA, Bob Williams of Birch River, WV and John Paula Williams of Elkhart, IN; and a sister, Ruby Givens of Cowen, WV. She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Johnathan Hadley in 1995; two sisters, Pearl Chaffin and Rose Brown; and three brothers, Jack, Bill and Tom Williams.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 24, 2009, at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road, Mansfield, Ohio 44906, conducted by Pastor Patrick Bailey. Friends may call one hour prior to the services at the funeral home on Friday. Burial will be in Hughes Cemetery, Zela, WV.
