Ruth Ann McCullough

After graduation from Marion Harding High School and Mt. Sinai Hospital School of Nursing in Cleveland, Ohio, she was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Army Nurse Corps during World War II. In Ashland, Ohio, she worked at Samaritan Hospital and at the office of Dawn H. Rower. Ruth retired from MedCentral Health System in Mansfield, Ohio. She was a member of First English Lutheran Church in Mansfield.

Ruth is survived by a daughter, Barbara (Hubert) Reed; granddaughter, Amanda (Daniel) Steele and great-grandchildren, Steven and Miranda Steele. She is also survived by a step daughter, Miriam Miles and her children, Rob Miles and Scott (Kellie) Miles and their children, Ryan and Ashlee Miles; a step son, Paul (Cheryl) McCullough and his daughter, Stacy (Kevin) and their son, Colin. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Harlan Cook and Russell McCullough; and sister, Martha (Winson) Call.

There will be no visitation or funeral service observed. Burial will be in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to S.T.O.P., 1152 Lexington Avenue, Mansfield, Ohio 44907. Wappner Funeral Directors is privileged to serve the family.
