Sadie A. Lockwood, 86, of Ashland, died early Thursday morning, September 23, 2004, at Good Shepherd Home. She was born June 4, 1918, in Rochester, New York to Peter and Josephine Leone Posato. Sadie was formerly employed with Upstate Business Journal, supervising sales and operations. She was recognized as Rochester Businesswoman of the Year for two consecutive years.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Pamela and Mike Hoover of Ashland and Donna and Walt Ridings of Houston, Texas; and three grandchildren, Brooke Gettler of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Gregory Hoover of Ashland, and Ryan Gallagher of Houston, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leonard Lockwood; son, John Barrett; brother, Joe Posato; and three sisters, Grace Mattaro, Faye Page and Margaret Kurcharski.
There will be calling hours or services observed. Burial will be in Holy Sepulcher Cemetery, Rochester, New York at a later date. The Ashland Home of Wappner Funeral Directors assisted the family with arrangements.
