
Sally Louise Gill Hunt, 62, of Mansfield, died at home Monday morning, February 10, 2003 following an extended illness. Mrs. Hunt was born June 22, 1940 in Kent, Ohio residing in the Mansfield area since 1971. She attended Roosevelt High School in Kent and later worked at Kent State University. In Mansfield, she worked at the Ohio State University as secretary and Business Services Officer through the nineteen seventies and eighties, taking an early retirement in 1990. Sally's main concern was always her family. A further interest since retirement has been with the Mansfield Art Center, where in recent years she has been on the Center's Board. She was also involved with volunteer work with the Mansfield Rehab Center in the 1990's. Besides art, she was in love with cats, traveling, cooking and Broadway music. Mrs. Hunt was a member at St. Peters Catholic Church.
Surviving are her husband of 26 years, Ralph Hunt; two sons, Sean Jackson of Columbus and Rob Hunt of Toledo; one brother and sister-in-law, Rick and Patti Gill of Findlay; one sister, Sue Pryor of Akron; two nephews and two nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Lois Mankin Gill.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors on Friday, February 14, 2003 from 5-8 p.m. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peters Catholic Church. Burial will be in Standing Rock Cemetery, in Kent, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mansfield Art Center.
