Sandy was born in Mansfield, Ohio on March 22, 1957, and spent most of her life in Mansfield and Salina, Kansas. She earned a bachelor’s degree and became a Certified Public Accountant, building a career that reflected her dedication and strong work ethic. Sandy also had work with law enforcement as a Mounted patrol officer.
Outside of her career, Sandy had many interests and passions. She loved cooking and baking, enjoyed caring for houseplants, and had a lifelong passion for horses. She especially enjoyed riding and barrel racing, which brought her great joy throughout her life.
Sandy is survived by her daughter, Anna McDow (Brian); grandchildren: Tiffanie Flores (Johnathan), Brian LeRoy McDow Jr., and Cory Dean McDow (Adreanna) and great-grandchildren: Rafael Perez, Grayson Flores, and Lillian Flores.
Sandy is also survived by her son, Terry Thomas Ratliff (Millie), and their children; brothers: Jason Apger (Nicole), James Collins and spouse, Ricky Collins and spouse, as well as cousins Lisa Bradshaw and her children.
Sandy was preceded in death by her grandmother, Ethel Reedy; her mother, Jenet Apger; her father, James Collins; her sisters, Carol A. Kiley and Kathleen Marie Moralez and her aunt, Karen Sue Reedy.
Sandy will be remembered for her love of cooking and baking, her enjoyment of houseplants, and especially her passion for horses. She enjoyed riding and barrel racing, interests that brought her happiness and became an important part of her life.
She will be missed and remembered by her family and loved ones.
No services will be held. The family kindly asks that you remember Sandy in your own way and carry with you the memories, love, and moments that were shared.
