
Sarah Holland Mack, 78, of Lexington, died Wednesday evening, May 13, 2009, at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital after an extended illness. Sarah's last breath on earth was her first step in Heaven. Born April 21, 1931, in Lothair, Kentucky, she was the last surviving child of William Robert and Rachel Elvira Sammons Holland. She and her husband, Robert, had been the owners of Mack's Lawn and Garden/Tiger Lily Gift Shop now known as the Cottage Shop in Lexington.
She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Rick Boyd of Lexington and Kathleen Yoha of Mansfield; two sons, Robert Kathy Mack of Lexington and John Beverly Mack of New Philadelphia; thirteen grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Mack in October 2001; daughter, Sharon in October 2002; parents; and all of her brothers and sisters.
A memorial service will be held Friday, May 15, 2009, at 6:00 p.m. at the First Friends Church, 571 Logan Road with Pastor Kevin Murphy officiating. At Sarah's request, her body was donated to The Ohio State University. The Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is privileged to serve the family of Mrs. Mack.
