Sarah Morelli

Sarah Morelli, 88, of Mansfield died Tuesday evening, April 17, 2001 at MedCental Mansfield after a brief illness. Mrs. Morelli was born January 11, 1913 in S. Agata Militello, Sicily living in the Mansfield area all of her life. She retired from Dominion Electric. Mrs. Morelli was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Antonio & Carolyn Morelli of Mansfield; three daughters and sons-in-law, Betty & Jay Hicks and Nellie Shenberger, all of Mansfield, and Corrine & Dan Devich of Vermilion, Ohio; 8 grandchildren and their spouses, Robin & Loren Staker, Annette & George Vidonish, Karen Bartman, Antonio 'Tony' Morelli, Jr., Cheryl & Mick Rettig, Michael & Alona Shenberger, David Devich, and Steve Devich; 11 great-grandchildren, George Jr., Cassie, and Jami Vidonish, Sara and Andy Rettig, Seth and Elizabeth Shenberger, Heather and Zac Bartman, and Lexi and Austin Morelli; a brother and sister-in-law, Thomas J. & Virginia Letizia of Bellville; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Mary & John Hergatt of Loudonville and Kate Alacca of Florida; and a sister-in-law, Sue Letizia of Lorain. She was preceded in death by her parents, Luigi & Alda Serafino Letizia; her husband, Mike Morelli; a brother, Conrad Letizia; two sisters, Angeline Nucifora and Thomasine Kampf; and a son-in-law, Mervin Shenberger.

Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Thursday from 6-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church conducted by Father Keith McCormack.
