Sherry L. Mast, 61, of Mansfield, passed away late Friday evening, October 27, 2017, at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital. She was born February 22, 1956, in Shelby, Ohio, and remained an area resident her entire life.
She was a very generous woman with such a big heart, everyone was a friend in her presence. Sherry could be a bit feisty and was fiercely protective of her family and friends, always looking after them with a watchful eye. She was a wonderful cook and everyone who was lucky enough to partake was impressed with her skills.
Sherry's favorite pastimes were flower gardening, deer watching, and sitting on her porch watching the beauty and freedom of the many birds in the area, especially the hummingbirds. She was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and enjoyed spending time with her friends. Sherry worked at Taylor Metal for 17 years in the welding department.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 10 years, Jody Mast; mother, Gladys Durfee of Mansfield; daughter, Jodi McKenzie of Bucyrus; two sons, James (Tesa) Snyder of NC and Jeffrey (Alice) Snyder of Apple Valley, OH; two step-daughters, Jennifer Mast of NC and Tina Mast of Mansfield; many grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. Sherry is also survived by a brother, Richard Mosley of Mansfield; and very good friend, Sharon King of Mansfield.
Sherry is preceded in death by her father, Richard Mosley; a grandchild; and two sisters, Arletta Mosley and Kathy Thomas.
There will be no visitation or services at this time. The Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is privileged to serve the family.
