

Shirley Jean Morris Ramsey Perkins Caudill "Aunt Jean-Jean", 66, of Mansfield, died Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Hospice House in Ashland following a five month illness. Born September 3, 1949 in Briar Fork, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Bill and Juanita C. (Campbell) Morris.
A 1968 graduate of M.C. Napier High School, she moved to Mansfield following graduation. A homemaker, she worked at the Child Care at First Assembly for 27 years which she dearly loved doing, especially taking care of all the babies. She was an awesome cook and made the best chicken and dumplings. She was a volunteer at Crystal Care Center and enjoyed flowers, yard work, gardening, canning and sewing but her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family, and even though she had only one child she helped raise many, many, many children.
She is survived by a daughter, Melissa Gayle Ramsey Gilliam and son-in-law, Carl Gilliam, Sr. of Mansfield; a sister, Patricia Ann Morris (Manuel) Noble; three brothers, Carlos Bill (Judy) Morris of Tennessee, Clyde Edward (Ann) Morris of Mansfield and Marcus Wayne (Reece) Morris of Pierceton, Indiana; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Stanley Ramsey, Jessie Perkins and Stephen Douglas Caudill; a great nephew, William Price "Billy" Noble, Jr.; and her loving pet, Cocoa Hershley.
Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road, Ontario. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at the funeral home conducted by Pastor James Davis and her nephew, William "Wee Wee" Price Noble, Sr. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to First Assembly Child Care Center in care of Tammy Griffith.
