Sophie M. Brandt

Sophie M. Brandt, 89, of Mansfield passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Winchester Terrace. She was born on October 2, 1927 in Mansfield. She was the daughter of Adam and Sophie (Reiter) Brandt.

Sophie was a graduate of Mansfield Senior High School and had worked at Elm's Tavern for many years. Sophie loved NASCAR, playing canasta with her brothers, sisters and nieces, doing jigsaw puzzles and spending time with her sister and family in California.

She is survived by her three sisters, Margaret Cochran of Mansfield, Kay Ciment of Woodland Hills, California, and Linda (Ernie) Johnson of Mansfield; three brothers, Walter (Carol) Brandt of Mansfield, Kenny (Mary Lynn) Brandt of South Carolina, and Jimmy (Joanne) Brandt of Mansfield; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Angelo Meno; brothers, Adam, Jack and Frank Brandt; a sister-in-law, Linda Brandt; and two brothers-in-law, Larry Ciment and William Cochran.

There will be a private graveside service held at Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contribution can be made to the donor's favorite charity. The Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is honored to serve the family of Sophie Brandt.
