It is with great sadness that the family of Stacy Lynn Brooks announces her unexpected passing on Sunday, April 1, 2018 at the age of 35. Stacy was born on January 27, 1983 to Rebecca Cox and Walter Klein.
Stacy graduated high school in 2002 and then pursued a nursing degree. After years of hard work and determination, she graduated from nursing school in 2007. Soon after graduation, she began working at Medina Hospital as a Registered Nurse, and has worked there since. Stacy was very proud to be awarded the Daisy Award in April 2017. The Daisy Award is a nationwide award that recognizes nursing excellence. It honors extraordinary nurses and the super human work they do everyday at the bedside. Stacy's greatest joy in life, besides coffee, was her family, especially her beautiful son, Elijah. She loved showing him how to garden, taking him for long walks in the park and spending days at the pool with him. She loved him and her entire family more than words could express.
Stacy will forever be missed by her adoring husband, Marcus Brooks; their son, Elijah Brooks; her twin sister, Tracy Barker (Matthew); her nieces, Aubrielle and Lillian Barker; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gene and Darlene Brooks; brother-in-law, Dustin Brooks; and many family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her grandmother, Nelly Parker.
Family and friends may visit on Friday, April 6, 2018 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington Springmill Road from 5:00-8:00 pm. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 7, 2018 in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
