He retired from Richland Newhope where he worked as a mechanic. During his college career, Stephen studied music and played the clarinet. His interest in the arts continued throughout his life and he volunteered as a stage hand at the Renaissance Theatre and worked the projectors at the original Cinemark Theater in Mansfield. He embraced technology and the precision required to perfect a program and kept up to date on the various improvements. Stephen was a basketball referee for many years for local middle school boys and girls teams. He recently developed a love for cooking.
Stephen was a kind soul who enjoyed helping anyone in need. He enjoyed telling his corny old-man jokes to anyone willing to listen. His yearly trip to the Outer Banks was a special enjoyment and he loved to travel anywhere he could. In his free time, he was an avid reader and most enjoyed Stephen King and Lee Child's Jack Reacher books. He was a devoted fan of the Cleveland Browns, Cavaliers and Indians.
Stephen is survived by his children, Hela Young (Melody Mohn), Rick (Rachel) Mosier, Scott Mosier, Dustin Rex, Zach Heifner and Trent Twining; grandchildren, Cameron and Zoe McNabb, Sylvia and Riley Mohn, Satin Quiroz, Travis Iley, Abby Mosier, and Collin and Mariah Mosier; a brother, David (Margaret) Young; and close friend, Chris Jones.
