She was born May 19, 1958, in Mansfield to the late Clayton and Mona (Eckelberry) Dudte. Susi was known for her generous heart, kind spirit, and strong work ethic. Those who truly knew her lovingly called her “Susi Sunshine,” a name that reflected the warmth and light she brought into the lives of others.
Susi enjoyed riding Harley motorcycles and made many close, lifelong friends. Her greatest joy was being at home with her family and friends. She affectionately referred to her home as her “nest,” a place of comfort and love, and she found simple happiness in feeding the birds and enjoying the peace of home. She was a life member of VFW Post 9943.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, John Davidson; her daughter, Jessica Kaye Davidson; grandchildren, Kaylee J. Davidson and Landon J. Davidson; great-grandchild, Mason L. Heifner; sibling, Bobbie (Trisha Kick) Dudte; brother-in-law, Butch (Cindy) Davidson; sisters-in-law, Kay Davidson and Pam (Mark) Zellner; along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and other close family and friends.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Ian John Davidson; and her siblings, Diana “Dee” Lee Dudte and Joel “Josey” K. Dudte.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Richland County Humane Society.
Wappner Funeral Directors – Mansfield is honored to serve the Davidson family.
