Susan Eckert

Susan E. 'Susie' Eckert, 68, of 28 North Street died Wednesday morning January 19, 2000 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital following an extended illness.  Mrs. Eckert was born July 18, 1931 in Lexington, Ohio living in the Mansfield area all of her life.  She retired from People's Hospital.  Mrs. Eckert was Past Noble Grand of the Miriam Rebekah Lodge.

She is survived by four daughters, Karen Harris of Shelby, Nancy Lobring and Sandie Wertz, both of Mansfield, and Linda 'Pete' Nikolaus of Norwalk; a son, Robert Dale Eckert of Mansfield; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, James J. & H. Almeda Cunningham McElvain; her husband, H. Dale Eckert; two sisters; and five brothers.

Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.  Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 22, 2000 at 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home conducted by Rev. Andy Winters.  Burial will be at Mansfield Memorial Park.  Memorial contributions may be made to Madison Urgent Care.
