Susan Ross

Susan H. Ross, 82, of Mansfield, died Thursday morning, February 13, 2003 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital following a brief illness. Mrs. Ross was born March 21, 1920 in Cherryville, North Carolina residing in the Mt. Vernon area, until moving to the Mansfield in 1996. Susan was a loving homemaker and enjoyed gardening, needlework, and reading her bible every day.

Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Lynn and Mike Free of Mansfield; one step daughter and step son-in-law, Nancy and John Melone of Illinois; two sisters, Mayme Barrett of Cherryville, North Carolina and Georgia Mosteller of Lincolnton, North Carolina; and a number of beloved nieces and nephews of North Carolina. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rufus and Susan Hardin; her husband in 1996, David G. Ross; two brothers, Glenn Hardin and John Hardin one sister, Alene Fisher.

Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors on Sunday, February 16, 2003 from 2-5 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be held in Union Grove Cemetery in Gambier, Ohio.
