
Thalia M. Thierlein, 90, of Mansfield, died Monday, July 23, 2007 at home. Thalia was born in Blairsville, Pennsylvania on November 5, 1916 to Arthur and Sarah B. Miller Fletcher. She moved to Mansfield at a young age and graduated from Mansfield Senior High School, Class of 1934. This is where she met and married the love of her life, Bob, on April 5, 1936 and in 1967 they established Bellville Auto Parts. Thalia was an active member of The Diamond Hills Baptist Church since it began in 1954. Serving her Lord Jesus Christ as financial secretary, member of Women's Missionary Society, Doreen Circle, Janet Circle and Mary Circle and she also was a deaconess. Thalia enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and reading. When she was in her eighties, she read through the entire Bible in just one year. Thalia's children and grandchildren would like to express what an honor and privilege it was to be able to care for her at her grandson's home during the last six days of her illness.
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Robert A. and Mary Thierlein of Bellville; one daughter and son-in-law, Barbara A. and George Bogner of Mansfield; seven grandchildren, David A. Nikki Thierlein, Beverly A. Jesse Crawford, Heidi Tony Lowe, Deborah Robert Hoffman, Amy Scott Shrader, Beth Jason Leppo, and Shaun Amber Bogner; eight great-grandchildren, Chad, Kaylee, Lucas, Aden, Caitlin, Jack Robert, Baby Emily, and Baby Michael; sister-in-law, Carolyn Franks of Arizona; three nephews, Richard A. Craig and Thomas Hout of Mansfield, and Douglas Hout of Bellville; and one niece, Penelope Bender of Florida. She was preceded in death by her husband, H. Robert Thierlein in 1985; her parents; a sister, Martha Craig; and niece, Carol Ann Craig Murphy.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 25, 2007 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Diamond Hills Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Christopher R. Thomas and Rev. Donald Holtzapple. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Gideons International, the donor's choice, Diamond Hills Baptist Church Memorial Fund, or buying a loved one candy or flowers.
