
Thomas Eugene Barnhart, 59, of Mansfield, died Sunday, April 4, 2010, at Hospice House in Ashland. Born June 20, 1950, in Carey, Ohio, he was the son of Pete and Roberta Barnhart. A 1968 graduate of Wynford High School, Thomas was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps serving during the Vietnam War and had worked 10 years for Delco Remy America in Anderson, IN where he worked on the help desk, fixing problems on computers for anyone who asked. He enjoyed collecting rocks, especially geodes.
Surviving are his wife of 19 years, Charlene Haas Barnhart whom he met while working for Mabee, Meyers and Mills in Mansfield; two daughters, Danette of Kansas City, KS and Shannon of Marion, OH and their children; and a brother, James Wendy Barnhart and their daughter, Shannon, of New York; and other extended relatives – cousins, uncles, aunts and half-siblings in the Toledo, OH and Adrian, MI areas. He was preceded in death by his parents and a half sister, Christine Mullins.
There will be no services at this time.
