
Thomas Eugene Campo, 67, of Ashland, died unexpectedly Friday, March 24, 2006, at Samaritan Regional Health Care System. Born October 13, 1938 in Galion, he was the son of Lupe Campo and Margaret Corral Moreno. He was employed at the Mansfield Post Office. Mr. Campo loved watching sports, reading, dining out, and was an avid bowler. He devoted his life to his wife and family, whom he dearly loved.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy A. Phillips Campo, whom he married December 15, 1963; three daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah Campo and Rodney Young, Patricia Campo, and Maria Campo and Broch Beyl, all of Ashland; two sons and daughter-in-law, Thomas G. Campo, and Matthew and Donna Wittman Campo; five grandchildren, Amanda Ferguson, Charles Bannerman II, Joshua Hoffman, Brooklyn Beyl, and Mikayla Campo; three great-grandsons, Austin Ferguson, and Jeremiah and Darren Lowe; mother, Margaret Moreno of Mansfield; three brothers, David Campo of Georgia, Phillip Campo of Florida, and Jerry Campo of Mansfield; one sister, Delores Sue Elliot of Ashland; two half brothers, David and Lupe Jr. Campo; and one half sister, Kathy Campo Corbin. He was preceded in death by his father Lupe Campo, and brother, Michael Campo.
Friends may call from 3-5 p.m. Sunday, March 26, 2006, at the Ashland Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 27, 2006, at the funeral home with Evangelist Roy Winland officiating. Burial will be in Ashland County Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Thomas E. Campo Memorial Fund to sponsor a sports league for children in care of Chase Bank.
