
Vada Mary Breedlove Hale, 89, of Mansfield, died Tuesday November 9, 2004 at home after an extended illness. Born July 9, 1915 in Swords Creek, Virginia, she was the daughter of Roy and Rosa Dye Breedlove. She was a member of the Valley View Freewill Baptist Church of Honaker and loved to quilt and garden.
Survivors include three sons, Russell Lee Dye of Conowingo, Maryland, Roger Leon Dye of Rising Sun, Maryland, and Robert Lewis Dye of Mansfield; one step daughter, Jeanney Cole of Cedar Bluff, Virginia; 13 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; six step grandchildren; one sister, Minnie Meadows of Conowingo, Maryland; and one brother, Harley Breedlove of Conowingo, Maryland. She was preceded in death by her first husband Dennis Dye in 1945; her second husband, Hobart Hale in 1988; three brothers, Raymond, Hubert and Glen Breedlove; two sisters, Zeola Breedlove and Fonnie Dye; one daughter, Nila Oma Perkins Carroll; and stepmother, Hazel Breedlove.
Friends may call 6 to 9 p.m. Friday November 12, 2004 at Honaker Funeral Home in Honaker, Virginia. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday November 13 at Honaker Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Russell Memorial Cemetery in Lebanon, Virginia. Wappner Funeral Directors assisted the family with local arrangements.
