
Vicie Cox, age 70, of Mansfield died early Saturday morning at her home following an extended illness. Mrs. Cox was born October 21, 1937 in Olive Hill, KY to Elijah and Arizona Blankenbacker Moore, and has lived in Mansfield most of her life. Vicie had worked for Roseland Screen Machine Factory and was a member of Bowman Street Church of God.
Surviving are two sons and three daughters and their spouses; James Bev Cox of Bellville, Karen Bob Burns of Mansfield, Kay fiancé Chris Bower Orren of Fredericktown, Clinton Cox of Mansfield, Viola Keith Dininger of Mansfield; dear friends, Marty and Marie Porter; grandchildren, Amanda and Troy Burson, Tim Cox, Danny and Nikki Fannin, Loretta and Mike Curry, Kay Fannin, Tony and Laura Orren, Brandon Orren, Clinton Jr. and Samantha Cox, Jamie and Darren Earls, Lori and Carl Collier, Joshue Skaggs, Dusty Carmen, Angie and Daniel Kenner; 27 great-grandchildren; four brother and three sisters all of Kentucky; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Earl T. Cox; daughter, Patricia Ann Cox; grandson, James Lee Cox, Jr.; grandson, David Ray Fannin; granddaughter, Patricia Ann Fannin; and one sister.
Friends may call Tuesday July 8, 2008 from 5-8 p.m. at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held Wednesday July 9, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home, conducted by Pastor Clifford Earl Tackett, Pastor Elijah Wagner, and Pastor Bruce Copley. Family will be receiving friends at 752 Lenox Ave. following the services on Wednesday. Burial will be in Mansfield Cemetery.
