Born on March 24, 1930, in Detroit, Michigan, Vicki was the beloved daughter of Athanasios and Despena Tsiros (née Voutsaras) and the cherished sister of August (Gus) Tsiros. She moved with her family to Cleveland at an early age and graduated from East High School, where she proudly played the trumpet in the school band.
On September 15, 1951, Vicki married the love of her life, Richard “Dick” Zack Sr. Together they raised two sons, Richard Jr. and Thomas. Dick preceded her in death on June 15, 1988.
A lifelong hard worker, Vicki operated the Blue Ribbon restaurant in downtown Cleveland alongside her parents for many years. She and Dick made their home in Euclid, later moving to Novelty, and eventually settling in Mansfield, Ohio in 1983. In 2024, Vicki relocated to Columbus.
Faith played a central role in Vicki’s life. She was a devoted member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Mansfield, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister for many years. She was also an active member of Amvets Post #26, where she cherished friendships and weekly lunches filled with laughter and camaraderie.
Vicki will be remembered for her unwavering generosity, strength, and kindness. She was a loving mother to her sons Rich and Tom, and a proud grandmother to Richard and Griffin. She had a deep love for animals—especially dogs—and welcomed many into her home over the years.
She had a passion for decorating, baking (especially her famous pizzelles), and knitting hats for the homeless. Vicki had a rare gift for connection and was known for her handwritten cards and letters, always selecting the perfect card for every occasion and sending thoughtful notes that brightened the lives of those around her.
Vicki is survived by her sons, Richard Zack Jr. and Thomas Zack (Jeanne); her grandsons, Richard and Griffin Zack; her brother-in-law, Dennis Zack; her sister-in-law, Peggy Zack; and a great wealth of nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. She leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and a life lived with grace and purpose.
She was preceded in death by her husband; and special friend, Earl Deems.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
