Violet Cyrus

Violet May Cyrus, 65 of 546 Acker Dr. died Sunday August 27, 2000 at MedCentral Mansfield following an extended illness. Mrs. Cyrus was born April 29, 1935 in Genoa, West Virginia residing in the Mansfield area since 1970. Violet was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Cyrus was a member of Diamond Hill Cathedral and was active years ago with making lunches for church workers.

Surviving are three daughters and sons-in-law, Darlene and Clarence Dillman; Mary Jo Caires all of Mansfield; and Shirley and Carl Reed of Greenwich, Ohio; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Bill and Tex Workman both of West Virginia; and four sisters, Faye Staley; Betty Harmon and Ruby Carter all of West Virginia; and Linda Oldenberg of California; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jay Cyrus; parents, Willard and Mary Brooks Workman.

Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors on Wednesday August 30, 2000 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Graveside services will be held on Thursday August 31, 2000 at 10:30 a.m. at Mansfield Cemetery.
