Violet M. Ryan Walters, 80, of 371 N. Home Road died Friday, May 24, 2002 at MedCentral Mansfield after an extended illness. Mrs. Walters was born December 24, 1921 in Gambier, Ohio living in the Mansfield area most of her life. She enjoyed crocheting and gardening.
She is survived by her husband, Herbert 'Herb' L.Walters, whom she married October 6, 1940; a son and daughter-in-law, Roger & Carlota Walters of Midway Park, North Carolina; three grandchildren and their spouses, Sean & Vicki Walters, Angie & Bret Swisher and Christy Walters; a great-grandchild, Carson Walters; and a special friend, Susan Walters of Ashland. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis & May L. Gantt Ryan; and two brothers.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, May 28, 2002 at 1:00 p.m. at Mansfield Memorial Park conducted by Rev. Cloyd Kress. Memorial contributions may be to the donor's choice. The Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is assisting the family with arrangements.
