Virgil Carl Miller, 76, of Mansfield, died Saturday, May 9, 2009 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. Born October 7, 1932 in Pike County, Kentucky, he was the son of Carl and Dimple Jessie Miller. He served in the U.S. Army. Virgil retired from AK Steel.
He is survived by two sons, Carl A. Darlene Miller, and Dewey Diane Miller, all of Mansfield; grandchildren, Earl Terri Miller, Carl V. Dana Miller, and Carla Miller; great-grandchildren, Bambi and Hunter Miller, and Kyle Vasquez. He was preceded in death by his wife Tracy in 1986; and grandson, Shannon Vasquez.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd., Mansfield. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home conducted by Rev. Clifford Earl Tackett. Military graveside services conducted by the Richland County Joint Veteran's Burial Detail will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
