Virginia Heston

Virginia May Anderson Heston, 93, died September 2, 2006. Born January 8, 1913, in Terra Haute, Indiana, the daughter of Oscar Perry and Jessie Mae Schofield Anderson. She was a graduate of Mansfield Senior High School and attended Ohio University for 2 years. She taught primary education for 30 years and enjoyed being with people, reading, athletics, travel, and caring for the needy. She was a hopeful, cheerful, helpful person who never ceased thinking of others and working for the well being of others around her. She was a devoted, loving, unassuming, gullible mother who was adored by her children.

She is survived by her children, Jerry Clark Heston, and Thomas Perry Mary Anne Heston; grandchildren, Shannon Ward Heston, Johnathan Ward Heston, Jennifer Marie Heston, Nathan Clark Heston, and Stephen Ford Heston; and a great-grandson, Jacob Carl Batterson.

Memorial services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 8, 2006, at First Congregational Church, officiated by Rev. Clifford Schutjer. Friends may call at the church from 12-1 p.m. The Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors assisted the family with arrangements.
