

Virginia Rivers Keller Miller, 81, of Mansfield, passed away on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at Arbors of Mifflin. She was born on October 11, 1937 in Mansfield, Ohio to the late Dr. Charles R. and Mary Virginia (Nesom) Keller.
Virginia (Ginger) attended and graduated from Western Reserve University with a Bachelors degree in Drama and a minor in Psychology. She taught drama and dance to psychiatric patients at the psychiatric hospital where she worked. She married her college sweetheart, Dr. Sylvon J. Miller on October 23, 1960 in Cleveland. They moved to Dallas, Texas where he opened his podiatry practice. In 1977, Ginger moved back to the Mansfield area and in 1982 met her partner of 34 years, Kenneth Markley.
Ginger was an avid reader. She loved nature and enjoyed staying at the cabin her father built in upper Michigan. She loved being around her extended family in Louisiana and telling stories. Ginger also enjoyed spending time at Mohican, Kingwood Center with her grandchildren, going to the Renaissance, spending Saturday nights watching movies and playing cards with her best friend of 76 years, Carmen Kick.
She is survived by two daughters, Lisa (John) Saal and Catherine Miller (Gary Hunt); grandchildren, Amanda and Jonathan Saal and Casey and Caden Miller; her best friend, Carmen Kick and her children, Rachel Zinoble and Emily Baker; and her extended family member in Louisiana.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the father of her children, Dr. Sylvon J. Miller; her partner, Kenneth Markley; a sister, Mildred "Kit" Rowan; and aunts, Lalla Nesom and Louise Mixon.
In keeping with Ginger's wishes, there will be no services.
