
Virginia M. Pittinger Spetka, 87, formerly of Alterra Sterling House, died Friday evening, April 15, 2005, at Winchester Terrace Nursing Home after an extended illness. Born August 12, 1917, she was the daughter of Delbert and Helen Hess Pittinger. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. She was formerly employed at Therm-O-Disc. Virginia was a member of Order of the Eastern Star, Ruth Chapter #17, Amaranth Royal Court #42, White Shrine Naomi #10, Commandry Auxiliary #21 and attended Hi-Twelve International #408.
She is survived by a daughter, Diann Paul Androw of Mansfield; son-in-law, Edward Barbara Miller of Marietta, Ga.; seven grandchildren, Cathy Miller of Hoboken, N.J., Paula Bruce Simonetti of Short Hills, N.J., Robert Androw Helen Flanery of Gibsonia, Pa., Dr. David Androw Kristi Danner of Dublin, Stephen Gwendolyn Androw of Plain City, James Lessie Miller of San Jose, Cal., and Jeffrey JoAnn Miller of Marietta, Ga.; a great-granddaughter, Madison Androw; four great-grandsons, Cameron Androw, Andrew, Blake and Beck Miller; brother-in-law, Richard Spetka of Mt. Vernon; and sister-in-law, Martha Pollak of Wilton, Conn. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Spetka, whom she married August 8, 1938 and preceded her in death on January 15, 1998; daughter, Deann Miller on June 23, 1998; brother, Robert Pittinger; and grandson, Keith Miller.
Friends may call at the Ontario home of Wappner Funeral Directors, Monday, April 18 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., with services by Order of the Eastern Star at 4:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home, officiated by Rev. Charles Tobias. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery.
