Virginia Tidwell

Virginia F.Fran Tidwell age 68, of 1679 Pulver Road, died unexpectedly Friday morning May 19, 2000 at MedCentral/Mansfield Hospital. Mrs. Tidwell was born May 10, 1932 in Portland, Tennessee living in the Mansfield area most of her life. She was everyone's best friend as well as an avid baker and especially fond of baking fruit cakes for family and her many friends during the holidays. A major enjoyment in Mrs. Tidwell's and her husbands life was their poodles.

Surviving are her husband, Weldon Tidwell; two daughters and a son-in-law, Linda Davis Gagnon of Rhode Island, Deborah & Larry Schoonover of Mansfield; a son, Jeffrey Tidwell of Perrysville; five grandchildren, Christine Gagnon, Larry, James, Carrie & Michael Schoonover; three great-grandchildren, James, Charles and Adrianna Schoonover; and three brothers and sisters-in-law, Donald & Judy Webb of Michigan, Chester & Pat Webb of Indiana, Harold & Sandy Webb of Michigan. She was preceded in death by her mother, Audney Webb; and a brother, George Webb.

Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home conducted by Rev. H.E.'Howdie' Burnett. Burial will be in Mansfield Cemetery.
