

Wanda Jean Brokaw Jeffrey, 88, of Mansfield, passed away late Saturday evening, January 14, 2017, at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital. She was born March 19, 1928, in Senecaville, Ohio, to the late Eugene and Juanita (McCollum) Brokaw.
After meeting her husband, Paul S. Jeffrey, they decided to settle in the Mansfield area to raise their family. Wanda was extremely proud of her family and being with them was her favorite activity. She was filled with immense joy at the success of their children and was always available with advice to guide them along their individual paths. Her unique laugh and wonderful spirit were loved by all who knew her. Wanda enjoyed music, especially playing the piano and nourished that love by playing and singing many hymns throughout the years.
She is survived by three children, Diane (Paul) Shambaugh, Bob (Janet) Jeffrey and Scott (Carrie) Jeffrey; ten grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and a sister, Norma Canel. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of more than 50 years, Paul Jeffrey; son, Rick Jeffrey; great-grandson, Alex Gedeon; and sister, Pat Evans.
The family will receive friends from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 18, 2017, at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield. The funeral service will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial in Oak Grove Memorial Park will take place at a later date.
