Wayne E. Hedrick, Sr., 59, of Mansfield died Tuesday, February 11, 2003 at his home after an extended illness. Mr. Hedrick was born March 16, 1943 in Mansfield to George E. and Gladys Marie Manley Hedrick. He was formerly employed in the set-up department at Mayer Textile in Greensboro, North Carolina. Wayne was an avid fisherman and enjoyed wrestling.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn D. Lookabaugh Hedrick; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Wayne and Kim Hedrick, Jr. of Mt. Gilead, Ohio, Scott and Christy Durfee and Eric Durfee, all of Mansfield; five daughters and four sons-in-law, Lisa Watkins of Tiffin, Ohio, Trena and Eddie Teeters, Bev and Ronald Sherban and Carolyn and Mike Geib, all of Mansfield, and Cheryl and Keith Propst of Kansas; twenty-four grandchildren; one brother, Virgil Hedrick of Mansfield; aunt, Maxine Cline of Mansfield; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Vernon Hedrick and daughter, Sherry Hedrick.
Private family services will be observed. The Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors assisted the family with arrangements.
