
Wesley Franklin Craft passed away June 27, 2010 after a short illness. Wes was 67 years old, born May 17, 1943 in Kittanning, Pennsylvania. Wes moved to the Mansfield area in the early 1960's to work at the Crestline PPG plant. He worked there for 47 years, except for a short time when he was in the Army. He retired in the spring of 2009. Wes met and married Linda Mills Craft on March 17, 1976. They were married 34 years. They resided in Ontario, Ohio their entire married life. Wes was an avid gun collector and enthusiast. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and boating. He loved to go to gun shows with his good friend, Doc. Deer hunting with his sons and the Jim Beach Crew was one of his favorite things.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Mills Craft; six sons and daughters-in-law, Les and Rita Craft, Wes and Tammy Craft, Rob and Serena Craft, Roy and Juli Craft, Rod and Laura Craft, Joe and Taryn Allred; two daughters, Linnell Allred and Samantha Moore; 12 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. Wesley was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Mildred Craft.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd., Mansfield. Friends may also call one hour prior to the funeral service which will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home conducted by Mike Mills. Military graveside services conducted by the Richland County Joint Veteran's Burial Detail will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Crestline. Memorial contributions may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
