Wilfried Trautmann

Wilfried E. Trautmann, 61, of Mansfield died Saturday morning, October 12, 2002 at OSU Hospitals in Columbus from injuries received in a bicycle accident. Mr. Trautmann was born January 13, 1941 in Breslau, East Germany and lived most of his life in the Mansfield area. He was a member of the Mansfield Liederkranz, Retmen's Club, Fraternal Order of Eagles, Sons Of Herman and the Woodsmen of America. Wilfried enjoyed the outdoors, and was an avid photographer who could be seen walking about town with his camera in a suit and tie.

He is survived by three sisters and brother-in-law, Ute and Dieter Volk of Mansfield, Hannelore Lüttkemüller of Germany, and Haike Rose of Newark, Ohio; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Erhart Martin and Lieselotte Schiffmann Trautmann and a brother, John Trautmann.

Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, Tuesday, October 15 from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to funeral services will be held at the funeral home Wednesday at 1:00 p.m., conducted by Father Joe Kannampuzha of Sulphur Springs, Texas. Burial will follow in the Mansfield Cemetery.
